Specialists in Vintage and Celtic Inspired Bridal Wear

Who are Lindsay Fleming?

During the mid to late 90's, we (Grace Lindsay and Julie Fleming) worked independently with clients from all over the world to create the wedding dress of their dreams. In 1998 we took the decision to become business partners in a brand new venture, where we brought together our individual talents and the opportunities provided by the internet, with the aim of supplying unique made-to-measure wedding dresses at realistic prices to brides all around the globe.

Our first collection of dresses was introduced in 1999 at the "National Wedding Show" in London. This brought a tremendous level of interest which has grown steadily since those early days. The dresses from the "Celtic Spirit Collection" can still be found within the pages of this site, and continue to receive hundreds of enquiries each year

In 2001, we successfully launched a follow-up collection to the "Celtic Spirit Collection". As with the initial collection, "Celtic Spirit 2001" was inspired by our interest in fashion from Celtic and Medieval history. The collection was premiered at the "Scottish Wedding Show" in Glasgow, February 2001. Once again the dresses were a tremendous success, and together with the original collection, they have brought a continued level of interest never dreamt of back in the early days.

Over the next few years from our studio in the beautiful village of Abington, Scotland, we periodically launched new designs to compliment and enhance our existing portfolio of gowns. As each new dress was unveiled, enquiries continued to arrive from all around the world, and due to our successful mail order service we have been delighted to receive clients from as far away as Australia and Japan.

In the autumn of 2005, we were honoured to be nominated by our clients for the title of "Bridal Designer of the Year" at the inaugural "VOWS Awards", held in the Glasgow Hilton. This was especially rewarding as the purpose of the VOWS Awards is to recognise those companies who consitantly offer an excellent service to their customers. A great night was had by all, but unfortunately we did not quite manage to come away with the coveted award. However twelve months later, again with help from our clients, we were back at the Hilton for a second bite at the cherry, and the night ended with Lindsay Fleming being voted the "2006 Scottish Bridal Designer of the Year".

2008 saw a complete rewrite of our successfully Web site, which had begun to look dated and worn at the seams. With the help from our good friends at Archibald Photography, based in Crawford, we had an amazing day at Caerlaverock Castle near Dumfries, where we photographed all our dresses including six new designs. The atmospheric result of the days work can be seen throughout this new website and we would be delighted to recommend Mark to anyone visiting our website, as the quality and professionalism is evident in the images scattered throughout these pages.

As 2008 came to a close, we were honoured to again be nominated by our clients for the title of "Bridal Designer of the Year". Once again the Glasgow Hilton was filled to capacity with a number of Scotland's most well known wedding suppliers, who partied away until the 'wee sma' hours. Our most hectic year so far was rounded off with the great news that we had been voted "2008 Scottish Bridal Designer of the Year".
