Do you sell patterns for your designs?
No! All our dresses are made-to-measure and therefore each pattern is unique to the client.
Do you sell the embroidery separately?
No! The embroidery is created for the shape of a dress and therefore would be very difficult to fit on another dress. Also, embroidery is very time consuming and would be very expensive.
Do you sell dresses for bridesmaids and flower girls?
At this point in time, no! We are extremely busy with bridal gowns and would prefer to concentrate on our existing clients. However, we may develop this side of the business in the future.
I live in *******. Can you make me a wedding dress?
Most probably, yes! We have sold to clients in every continent and could also help with your wedding gown.
Do you have a brochure?
We are currently creating a CD brochure, but this is still in development. Please monitor the web site for any change in our position.
Can you explain the difference between 'made-to-measure' and 'mail-order'?
Many of our clients choose to visit us at our studio for all their fittings, while others, possibly due to distance, find this difficult or impossible. For those clients we offer our mail-order service. Dresses are still made-to-measure, however we will probably never meet face to face. Please read the information on '
Using our Mail Order Service' for a full explanation.
What is a toile?
A toile, or mock-up, is a copy of the dress in a cheap fabric. We do this in order to ensure that the finished article is made to the correct specifications.
Which measurements do you require?
How long in advance do I need to start to discuss my wedding dress with you before my wedding?
Remember, your wedding dress will be made from scratch. We therefore prefer a minimum of six months to make a dress. The time scale may on occasions be shorter, therefore it is always best to contact us for an up to date position.
If I contact you six months before our wedding, can you guarantee that I will be able to have a dress made on time?
Unfortunately no! We can only make a finite number of dresses each year and often we are fully booked well in advance. It is best that you call early so as not to be disappointed.
