| While
premiering our original "Celtic Spirit Collection"
at the Olympia in London, we were approached by Anna, who
was having major problems finding a dress for her wedding
at Scone Palace later that year. She had seen our collection
on the catwalk and knew that our designs were very close to
what she had in mind. Anna had spent months sourcing her ideas
from dozens of historical drawings in fashion and history
books, and new exactly how she wanted her dress to look.
Over the next six months she made a number of trips up to
Scotland to visit our studio, initially to meet with one of
our designers in order that her thoughts could be transferred
into a detailed sketch. Further visits were arranged to make
sure the toile was a perfect fit, and that the final dress
was exactly to her specification.
Anna's dress was based on our Janel
design, but with changes to the embroidery. She also added
a spectacular red crushed velvet cape to finish off the look
she had spent so much time and effort trying to achieve.
