Everything
about Laura's wedding pointed towards her choosing one of our
many Celtic styled designs. Born and raised in Scotland, Laura
had moved to Wales several years earlier, and there she met
future husband Chris, who was from where else, Ireland.
However, Laura had made up her mind that
she would wear a more traditional gown on her wedding day. But
traditional does not mean that she wanted to look like hundreds
of other brides getting married that year. So with the help
of our designers and based on an earlier design we had published,
she started to plan her very own gown.
The completed dress was made from pale
pink silk duchesse satin with a boned bodice, overlaid with
lace and lavishly trimmed with pearls and sequins. It laced
at the back and was finished with three silk roses. A matching
bolero was added to complement the gown and help keep at bay
the cold October evening.
